Train Station
Spoken voice: In train station waiting room often sat a neatly dressed middle-aged woman, who held an old suitcase and kept looking around, as she was expecting something.
The first time he saw the woman was during his high school time. Every evening he travelled from Taoyuan to Taipei for private tuition and backed to Taoyuan at late night eleven o'clock. The woman always sat on a wooden chair in the waiting room on time. The posture of waiting, restless eyes, properly dressed, as if she was waiting for someone to arrive.
At first he didn't pay any special attention to her, but after a long time, especially when there was no passenger, the loneliness of the woman was particularly significant. One day he finally decided to wait till that woman left the waiting room. Till late at night, till one o'clock in the morning, then the woman stood up, walked to the blackboard in the waiting room and wrote with a chalk:
"Shui: couldn't wait till you come, I go first! Ying"
Then he became aware after a long time that the comment of the waiting room was from that woman
Later, the old man at the train station told him that the woman had been sitting in the waiting room for more than twenty years. Some said she was insane. Some said they had seen she opened the suitcase and it's filled with clothes from her girlhood. Most people said that more than twenty years ago at a night, Ying and her Shui agreed to meet at the station, to elope to an unknown place, but that man who's called Shui didn't appear.
One day when he came home, he no longer saw Ying at the station. He asked a lot of people there, but no one knew why. This woman who was neither stopped by rain nor wind didn't come that day. The next morning Ying's mutilated body was found on the railway track. The suitcase was rolled very far away. On the passengers message board had her writing, only changed few words.
"Shui: Waited for you thirty years. I go first. Ying”
Just like this, the thread has broken
Just truly like this, not going to meet anymore
Fly beyond time, fly beyond horrizone.
Fly to another sky, where I no longer exist
After so many years, all the longings
float in the space, without an end
Life is like a piece of faded picture
but I still stand at the train station frozen in time
