A Labourer Changed
A labourer day by day piles one brick upon the other
Until his ardious task is complete with the pride of his work
The propriator of this palace invites a feast to the brother
Upon the evenings tidings where joy does in turn lurk
Clad in fine garments the labourer presents himself
Covered with debris of work, no evidence of gentry
His tongue roams in dismayed ways without stealth
Until his body is hastenly extracted by the sentry
