A Poem of the Afar
The sun rises, sets, a cycle repeats.
The planet circling has never ceased.
The seasons change, a cycle repeats.
A splendid glow to somewhere released.
Before the darkness ends, tomorrow,
I'll trudge through hills and all seas,
Facing to the east, for the cockcrow,
Flying to the skyrim, cleaned by breeze.
On the peak I left my dream moments,
Yearning soars in air before my eye.
Clouds hide my memory's fragments,
'Tween the sky and sea lies my reply.
I'll keep flying, for the land distant,
To see the dusk so magnificent.
Until the stars occupy firmament,
Every beauty I see turns permanent.
